Lay Eucharistic Visitors
At Christ Church there is a small but determined group of individuals who take communion every Sunday to shut-ins and those unable to get to church. Many of the people we visit are in ill health, many are simply elderly, living in nursing homes and unable to come to church. This is our way of including them in the life of the parish, keeping them up to date on what's happening, and keeping them "in the family", as well as sharing the sacrament of Holy Communion with them. The prayer we are sent out with sums it up: "We who are many are one in Christ".
