Christ Episcopal Church
Men's Club
The Men’s Club of Christ Episcopal Church is comprised of male members of the Parish and their guests. We meet monthly for worship, breakfast, and fellowship on the first Sunday of the month from October through December, and from February through May, after the 7:30AM Eucharist. The first Sunday in January has been reserved for our Annual Mid-Winter Dinner meeting, which includes significant others as our guests. This tradition was established long before the beginning of World War II (December 7th, 1941).
Our membership, which is open to all male members of the Parish aged 18 and over, currently numbers about 30, with an average attendance of 20 at any given Sunday breakfast.
Our one fund-raising event of the year occurs on the Friday before Palm Sunday and consists of a Fish Fry for the whole world to enjoy. All members of the Men’s Club, together with volunteer help from St. Margaret’s Guild and the Youth Organization, participate in the preparation and serving of the food. The profit from this event, together with our dues of $5.00 per year, and a minimal profit from our breakfast donations, allowed us to provide financial support to the Clergy Discretionary Fund and the Kitchen Clean-Up Fund.
The Officers for the year 2006-2007 are: Brian Melin, President; Kam Sahrai, Vice-President; Keith Feathergill, Secretary; and John Davis, Treasurer.
